Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a full-time Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance Technician in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

The Refrigeration Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by repairing and maintaining a wide range of processing equipment across the plant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with various systems including Ammonia and HVAC, Chillers and Glycol, Condensers and water towers, Evaporators and heat exchangers, Compressors, RTU's, Steam boilers, Softeners, Electrical and gas, Ovens, Electrical switchgear, Fire Control, and more.
• Review work schedules, assess necessary equipment and supplies, and prepare for operations, including Preventative Maintenance.
• Monitor, rebuild, and repair equipment.
• Notice and be able to attend and distinguish normal from abnormal noises in equipment and machinery.
• Ascend and descend from step ladders, platform ladders and extension ladders
• Listen and respond to forklift truck safety beeps and public announcement intercom system.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of experience working maintenance in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment with automated machinery
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and math skills
• Willing to earn the following certifications: Universal HVAC, RETA CARO Certification, Hazmat Emergency Responder designation, and RETA CIRO Certification
• Pass a Respirator fit test.

Physical Requirements:

• Can sit and talk/hear, stand, walk, use hands and tools, reach with hands and arms, stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell frequently.
• Can lift and move up to 10 pounds, can lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to prepare appropriate reports and results.
• You may be subject to blood borne pathogens and other infectious illnesses, occupational hazardous materials and associated protective activities and donning personal protective equipment.
